    Job Description

    • Drive commercial delivery trucks, vans, and/or tractor-trailer combinations to deliver the product to retail accounts.
    • Follow an outlined itinerary and be willing to work as a part of a team whose account types and delivery routes can change based on daily need
    • Collect payments from accounts as needed
    • Lift, Stack, and transport cases and kegs of beer of varying weights to accounts
    • Build strong relationships with retailers by delivering products in a timely and efficient manner and rotating products as necessary to ensure freshness.
    • Complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, display forms, load sheets, and cash/checks within appropriate time frames.
    • Manually load and unload product from side loader truck
    • May be assigned to warehouse duties as needed

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 21 years of age
    • Must have valid CDL A license
    • Ability to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 180 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the job
    • Communication skills
    • Basic math skills
    • Possesses organizational and follow-through abilities

    Preferred Qualifications

    • H.S. Diploma
    • Beverage industry experience
    • Knowledge of basic Illinois Liquor Laws

  • Night Loader

    Role Scope:

    This position is responsible for loading trucks for the next day’s deliveries. This includes loading orders, properly putting pallets on trucks, handling paperwork, and keeping warehouse standards as laid out by Skeff Dist. and AB-InBev.

    1. Order Processing (for those who are trained)
    • Check Salesmen’s orders, select, and process the orders.
    • Generate invoices and send to Driver’s handhelds.
    • Generate night reports.
      • Scan and email key list and off-day deliveries of orders by 5 p.m. to Sr. VP, Sales & Marketing; Director, Information Systems; and Director, Delivery & Service Operations.
      • Out-of-Stock reports completed at 5 and 8 p.m.
      • Sales by Salesman completed at 8 p.m.
      • Sales by Route completed at 8 p.m.
      • Back Order reports (3) completed at 8 p.m.
    • Sync driver handhelds after all invoices have been generated.
    1. Truck Staging and Loading
      • Practice accurate product rotation.
      • Check Close-Dated products in drive through.
    • Retrieve and scan picks sheets/load sheets for the night to ensure accurate picking statistics.
    • Determine if any special instructions are on the sheets.
      • Note any Out-of-Stocks or package changes and make a notation on the sheets.
      • Checkmark each package when putting them on the pallet or loading the truck.
      • Wrap orders when necessary.
      • Mark pallets with note pads, including the pallet number and pallet count for the pick sheet (1-5, 2-5 etc.).
        • Ensure accurate loading.
        • Ensure adherence to weight restrictions for the trucks.
        • Manage out-of-sequence deliveries (off-day deliveries).
        • Coordinate loads to make deliveries as efficient as possible (first on, last off).
      • Load draught (if ordered) on truck.
        • Summer months (draught on back of truck).
        • Winter months (draught with normal load).
      • Load pallet jacks, handcarts, and secure the load.
      • Initial all pick sheets.
      • Put pick sheets in the appropriate driver’s mailbox.
    1. Communication
    • Facilitate a shift change meeting to communicate with the Day Shift, ensuring a smooth Night Shift transition.
    • Communicate with Lee on truck issues and substitutions.
    • Stay in contact with:
      • Salesmen about orders, displays, etc.
      • Director, Delivery & Service Operations for special events and/or issues with truck weight.
    • Communicate with drivers (ex: Call drivers about stacking two stops to ensure time, space, and trips are saved in making the delivery).
    • Ensure after-hour warehouse emails are being answered.
    • Communicate to Sr. Director of Warehouse Operations any issues evolving throughout the evening.
    • Communicate on-the-job injuries to VP of Director, Operations & CFO or VP of Administration & Controller.
    1. End of Shift Activity
      • Close out the night:
        • Clean up the warehouse.
        • Put the necessary paperwork in the drivers’ boxes.
        • Pull all vehicles and equipment into the warehouse.
      • Monitor safety precautions for all employees.
    2. General Warehouse Duties
      • Stack empties.
      • Continuously clean and straighten the warehouse (plastic wrap, spillage, etc.).
      • Place breakage in the proper area (in the Repack Room, not the garbage cans).
      • Practice truck and equipment safety.
      • Time management.
      • Do the job right the first time.
      • Control/reduce product breakage.
    3. All Other Duties as Assigned

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Managing Selling using Mobility 360 and KARMA Sales Tools
      • Inventory.
      • Monthly Objectives as established by AB and Sales Managers
      • Sell in new brands and packages to achieve distribution objectives.
      • Order inventory correctly to eliminate Out-of-Stocks.
      • Submit work orders through Mobility for:
        • POOCM
      • Ensure KARMA surveys for Taps, Sampling and Friday Market Plans are completed.
      • Utilize Go Spot Check surveys to ensure execution at retail.
      • Utilize LOLA, BIR and other reports to drive business results.
    1. Execution of National and Regional A-B Blueprint
      • By channel and by month in accordance with A-B guidelines.
      • Review LOL results following each market visit.
    1. Account Planning
      • Identify opportunities in markets/accounts (displays, placements, POCM, etc.).
      • Competitive activity (pricing, brand positioning, new products, etc.).
      • Create a plan to obtain monthly objectives in each account each week.
        • Account plan by segment (KPIs, POD, KAM/National Accounts, POCM).
        • Measure objectives completed using M360 and KARMA.
        • Ensure new and existing accounts are opened, maintained, and classified correctly (BUD classification, on-, or off-premise, account contacts, etc.).
      • Execution of A-B market plans and route level objectives.
      • Ensure that the correct SKUs are available in each account whether single brand sell in or multiple package distribution behind major brands are required
      • Knowledge of wholesaler SKUs in inventory.

    1. Servicing Retail Accounts
      • Manage all activities in a retail account in accordance with IL law.
